Is this permanent?
I'm really hoping it can be, but it depends on how hard Pro conversions take a hit. I want the SmoredBoard to be the best experience it can be for Free and Pro users, while still trying to not lose money. And giving anyone the ability to reorganize their sounds definitely makes the experience better but is a risk, which is why I'm not committing to keeping this forever.
What's the catch?
There's no catch! Ok maybe a tiny catch, but like very tiny
You can only reorganize for free in unlocked profiles and you need an internet connection when launching the SmoredBoard to get it.
Why do I need an internet connection to reorganize sounds for free?
In order to get free reorganization, you are going to need an internet connection when launching the SmoredBoard. That's just so the SmoredBoard can talk to my servers, and confirm that this is still active, after that you can turn off your internet if you wish and use it like normal.
Note if this becomes a permanent thing, I will remove the need for an internet connection to use reorganization.
Why Now?
This is something I've been thinking about for a while. I want the free version to be a fully usable soundboard, and even without reorganization it is, but is significantly less convenient without it. Giving this to anyone for free will make setting up the SmoredBoard, and continued use much better. And with all the other Pro features I've added I really don't feel reorganization has to be a Pro feature anymore. So if you want this to stick around, consider getting Pro. You get so many other cool features and I have some cool stuff coming. Like effects for your voice!
